REGISTRATION TERMS FOR DATATAG'S QUICK RESPONSE CODES

These Registration Terms (together with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Website Use) will tell you information about us and the legal terms and conditions (Registration Terms) on which we will register your Quick Response Codes (QRC).

These Registration Terms will apply to any contract between us for the Registration of your QRC (Contract) and for the provision of Services in relation to the QRC you have obtained from us. Please read these Registration Terms carefully and make sure that you understand them, before you register for our QRC Service. Please note that before providing your personal information to us in order to enable us to provide you with our service you will be asked to agree to these Registration Terms. If you refuse to accept these Registration Terms, you will not be able to receive the QRC Service(s).

You agree that by registering for our QRC Service, you accept these Registration Terms. These will prevail over any other terms and conditions provided to you in relation to use of the QRC.

We amend these Registration Terms from time to time. Every time you wish to update or amend your registered information with us, please check these Registration Terms to ensure you understand the terms which will apply at that time. These Terms were most recently updated on November 2014.

We will collect sore and process information you provide to us. After you have completed your registration process you will have created Your Unique Profile ("YUP").

These Terms, and any Contract between us, are only in the English language.

1.      INFORMATION ABOUT US

1.1. Datatag ID Ltd operate the website www.datatag.co.uk. We are a limited company registered in England and Wales. Our Company registration number is 02203836 and our registered office is at 1 Brassey Road, Old Potts Way, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, SY3 7FA. Our main trading address is at Marine House, Thorpe Lea Road, Egham, Surrey, TW20 8BF.

1.2. Our registered VAT Number is 785 4023 20.

 

2.      THE SERVICE AND ITS AIMS

2.1. The QRC Service that we will provide is that we will register your details into our database; in the event of an emergency, any person or emergency services can scan your QRC and have access to your personal information which you have chosen to display to them through using this QRC Service.

2.2. We are not a provider of emergency services and we have no control over emergency services. The aim of the QRC is, in the event you are involved in an emergency, for the person who finds you in an emergency situation or emergency services to be able to locate your preferred contact quickly and to provide fast, relevant and updated information so that you may receive more informed medical treatment.

 

3.      DISPLAYING YOUR QRC

 

3.1. You must display your QRC outside of your crash helmet or in a visible place on your safety clothing so it is quickly and easily visible in an emergency. Placing your QRC in a highly visible place will make it more likely it will be found.

3.2. We make no representations or guarantees that in an emergency situation your QRC will be found and scanned. This is why it is important to place the QRC in a highly visible place.

3.3. We accept no liability for removal or damage to any crash helmet or clothing which may be or which is removed in order to find a QRC label which is concealed on the inside of any helmet or clothing.

 

4.      REGISTERING YOUR CONTACT DETAILS

 

4.1. Once you have obtained your QRC you will need to enter your personal information into the QRC Registration System. To see the types of information you will be required to provide us in order to benefit from our service please see our Privacy Policy at http://datatag.co.uk/privacy.php

4.2. In order to provide the QRC Service we rely on you to provide correct contact details and information. We cannot confirm the accuracy of the information you provide to us. Updated and accurate information registered by you with us will make your QRC more valuable for your health needs.

4.3. We accept no liability for the accuracy of the information held by us which information is provided by you. To ensure the integrity of the personal information and to help us protect your privacy, you should maintain the secrecy of the logon ID and password you may have set up in connection with your participation in this QRC Service.

4.4. We accept no liability to you if your contact information is amended or changed if you disclose you logon ID and password to third parties.

4.5. In order to provide us with emergency contact details you undertake to us that you have obtained the consent of all of the persons whose personal information you have provided to us as your contact in the case of an emergency.

 

5.      UPDATING AND AMENDING YOUR DETAILS

 

5.1. You may update or amend your emergency contact details by logging into the Datatag website and following the instructions to amend and update your details.

5.2. Datatag will contact you on an annual basis in order to check/confirm/amend your contact details.

5.3. If you have amended or updated your contact details at any point then Datatag shall contact you 12 months after the date you updated your details.

5.4. It is a condition of your receiving the QRC Service that Datatag ID Ltd is allowed to contact you once a year to update your emergency records unless you have cancelled the QRC Service.

 

6.      IF YOU TRANSFER/SELL YOUR EQUIPMENT

 

6.1. If you sell or transfer your equipment we would advise that you:

6.1.1.      Remove your ICE label from your equipment to prevent your information being accessed by third parties and which information may then be incorrect or misleading.

6.1.2.      Log onto your account and delete your YUP.

6.1.3.      That a new QRC label be applied to equipment which is sold or transferred.

 

7.      IF YOU LOSE YOUR EQUIPMENT OR YOUR EQUIPMENT IS STOLEN

 

7.1. If your equipment with the QRC label is lost or stolen you must update Your User Profile (YUP) by logging onto the system and deleting your information.

 

8.      HOW WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

 

8.1. Once your personal information and contact details have been registered in our database we will make these details available to anyone who scans your QRC label. By registering for the QRC Service you agree that such information can be made publicly available.

8.3. You accept that Datatag is not liable for any loss to you or to any persons whose contact details you have provided to Datatag arising from the provision or non-provision (whether in whole or in part) of any the Services.

 

9.      CANCELLING YOUR SERVICE

 

9.1. In the event you wish to cancel the provision of the QRC Service by us to you, you can do so by logging onto the website and deleting Your User Profile.

9.2. The ARC Service will be cancelled from the Cancellation date within 24 hours of your notifying us.

9.3. Renewal terms and conditions are at the sole discretion of Datatag. Datatag has the right to refuse provision of the QRC Service to you.

 

10.   LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

 

10.1.        You agree to take full responsibility to safeguard the credentials for your account and to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your password and/or account. Datatag will not be responsible for any liabilities, losses, or damages arising out of the unauthorised use of your email address, password and/or account.

10.2.        You expressly agree that we shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special consequential or exemplary damages for loss of profits, goodwill arising from the use or the inability to use the QRC Service.

12.   ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

13.   MARKETING CONSENT

 

If you do not want us to use your personal data to contact you by electronic means (e-mail or SMS) with information about goods and services similar to those which were the subject of a previous sale or negotiations of a sale to you, please visit the Account Settings area of your account once you have logged in and tick the Unsubscribe to Marketing tick box. You can do this at any time.
